Black Rock Society
NICHES members appreciate and recognize the importance of protecting land as the principle way to secure a future for our native natural heritage and for our own sense of stability and grounding. Since 1995, NICHES members have added to the fabric of our community with each acre protected. Every property is a secure home to native plants and animals and our non conservation easement properties are open to all people, member and nonmember alike.
We encourage everyone that is able to stretch their contribution to NICHES. Your increased contribution greatly helps improve our community.
For those that are able to contribute $1,000 annually (and/or/combination of NICHES Land Trust and NICHES Endowment Foundation), welcome to the Black Rock Society. Every Black Rock Society member will be invited to an annual hosted wine bar and dinner, along with an interactive art show during the fall of every year. Also during the course of the spring season we will sponsor a hike on a NICHES preserve just as a special thank you for those who have been such great supporters to NICHES.
On September 17, 2011 we held our first Annual Black Rock Society Dinner at the Wright Forestry Center near Purdue University. Catered by the Juniper Spoon our evening included a hosted wine bar and an interactive Mandala experience by Rensselear artist Bonnie Zimmer. See below for some of the lovely pictures of this event.
For more information please contact NICHES or talk to Gus, Mary Kate or Pauline at 765-423-1605.
