History of Acquisition and Property

George Marshall passed in January of 2019, and choose to leave his woods to NICHES Land Trust to protect forever. Prior to George’s ownership, the land was cared for by the Snyder family. Together these two families owned the land for over 150 years. The Roy Whistler Foundation supported the stewardship endowment for the property.
