Wednesdays in the Wild: Hike at Whistler Hare Woods
Description
Join NICHES’ Stewardship Director Bob Easter on a hike to check out the ongoing transformation of our Whistler-Hare Woods project involving 6 adjacent landowners. Currently, we are working with Ecologic LLC to forestry mow about 70 acres of invasive shrubs and an old Christmas tree farm and we will be working on treating the resprouts through the growing season. The treatment area is located between some of the highest quality woodland NICHES protects both at Whistler-Hare and Snyder Marshall Woods.
We will keep the first part of this hike on the level upland with moderate terrain and people can explore the more rugged terrain afterward if they would like.
