In this edition, Shannon Stanis introduces themselves as the new Executive Director and explains their roots as a NICHES volunteer. NICHES extends a heartwarming thank you to Julie Rubsam and Brett for their years of service as NICHES’ Development Director and Administrative Manager, respectively. Board Member Denise Laussade authors an inspiring passage about what the great outdoors means to her and her hope for others to experience the beauty of nature through NICHES properties. Justin Harmeson, Stewardship Manager, also includes an article about his extensive work on a stewardship project in his hometown, Attica. A 2021 report announces an incredible 11,872 hours of volunteer work and claims Deborah Kull as the 2021 Volunteer of the Year.
